applied to any endeavour magnifies the output: from designing space, building furniture, and running client meetings to composing photographs, laying out exhibitions, coding websites, and drawing layouts. I believe that intense, iterative charrettes build layers of intricacy and knowledge into a project that could not otherwise exist.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Woodbury University in Burbank, CA and immediately began visualization work at a design+build firm in Los Angeles. Quickly moving to managing construction and design, I acquired a great appreciation for the entire process of building, from conception through construction and beyond. I joined SERA Architects in 2014 and have been a licensed architect in Oregon since 2018. I continue to work towards my two primary goals:

  1. Be part of an intense and focused design team: A team constantly reviewing and improving their work creates a thriving energy that makes for robust and successful designs.
  2. Become a balanced architect: Whether designing, researching code, working with demanding clients, or solving the next waterproofing issue, a well-rounded architect draws experience from multiple facets of their experience to help solve difficult problems.

These goals stem from a passion for designing the environment. Personally I love my growing family, as well as bicycling, playing Simcity, building puzzles, and solving silly problems. Just as in my work, I find extreme joy in figuring out complexities and providing simple solutions.
